Okay. I'm trying to come up with a way to name the Selenthians and the dog folk. Hell, I need to give the dog folk their own race name, to begin with, but at any rate...
I know for certain that I don't want them to be names that humans have. They can be similar, but not letter for letter.
I also know that I seriously do not want anything like "Silverfang Fastfeet" or "Longhair Hardskull". That's right out.
So.
What do you think?

With the Selenthians I`ve created I took names that sounded "Right" for the 3 locations of their birth ( Scotland, India & Beleruse ) and tweaked them a little.
As for the dogfolk, as most canids operate in a pack, perhaps like the Japanese they would have their pack (family) name first? Perhaps as most Canids are very terratorial, the pack name would have something to do with a geological or topographic feature from their are of origin.."Westvale" or "Lowbrook"
As for a name for the dogfolk1s race as a whole, "Bythain" ?

I`m becoming more & more interested in Therians, I recently purchased a book called "A field guide to Otherkin" and have had an interest in Animal spirits, totems and shapeshifters, both mythologicaland clinical lycanthropy for many years now.

If you ever get a chance a good text on the history of lycanthropy is "The Beast within" by Adam Douglas.
