Affiliation: Vox Angelus
Physical:
Age: Over 100he was born in 1898 and made his pact with Baron Samedi in 1926, whereby his aging became suspended.
Height: 62
Eye color: Ice blue, fading more with each passing decade. (They were once dark slate blue)
Hair color: Black, though the tips of his bangs are becoming bone white.
Scars/tattoos/piercings: one on the palm of his right hand, where the Baron Samedi bound his pact with Pasquales blood.
Body type in general: Lean, not overly athletic, but a bit wiry.
Wears: Black and red, with a tendency toward a retro/gothic/Victorian edge, fit for an undertaker.
Generic:
Species/Specialty: Human, black magician. Powerful Voodou Bokor.
Theme Song: Filipino Box Spring Hog by Tom Waits.
Actions:
Occupation: To the human world, hes an undertaker. To the spirit world, hes employed by Baron Samedi to bring forth the essence of recently killed humans who would be influential in good ways to the world.
Keeps busy with: Seeking out pay for Baron Samedi, which he prepares with long ceremonies, passing time with Birdie Loa, prostitutes, undertaking, reading and opium (which doesnt have the same deteriorating effect on him as it does normal humans).
Becomes bored by: Life, Birdie Loa, opium.
Addicted to/obsessed with: Hes not addicted to opium as one would thinkits a distraction, but not a need. Hes obsessed with getting his bill paid off to Baron Samedi, but at this point, his original goal of bringing his wife back has become so blurred and unwanted, paying this bill is just another job now, rather than an obsession. He does, however, have an addiction to women in general. He is quite fond of black Turkish coffee.
Eats and drinks: Loves Creole/Cajun cooking, which he grew up on. French cuisine, wine and rum, baked sweets.
Habits: Smokes clove cigarettes. Plays with his wedding ring, which now fits on the right finger of his right hand, which he says is to remind himself of reaching his goal. (When he casts spells/hexes people, he uses his right pointer finger to do so.)
Listens to: Turn of the 20th century jazz and old timey music. Cary Ann Hearst, Tom Waits, Billie Holiday, Screaming Jay Hawkins, Leadbelly, etc
Relationships:
Family then and now: None now, as all of his relatives are dead. Some of his extended family, in fact, he picked off with Voodou hexes to pay Baron Samedi. He came from an affluent family in decline living on the Louisiana/Mississippi border. His parents didnt approve of his marriage, but rather than disown him when he married, they simply paid for a nice house outside of New Orleans for the two of them and rarely saw them after that. He had a brother and a sister, the former who lived into his fifties and was killed in a car wreck, and the latter who died in childbirth (neither mother nor child survivedthe child was one of the first of Pasquales victims, a guilt which he lives with today since he is fully aware that it was the reason his sister died).
Best friends: He is alone. One can hardly call Birdie a friend, though she is his constant companion.
Enemies: Normally, Pasquale has no problem with enemies, as he simply disposes of them via black magic. PIRA, however, is another matter, with Desmond in particular being a thorn in his side.
Crushes/love interests: Any pretty woman of high intelligence with a mind of her own can become a target for his infatuation. Rose, who Birdie targets as his next victim in the first volume of Vox Angelus, for example, is a prime example.
Most influential person: Birdie, though Baron Samedi is also a big proponent of his spiraling into degenerate evil. Birdie, unlike Baron Samedi, does not know right from wrong, and has the capriciousness of a child without the voice of a parent to reign her desires and whims in. Shes had a lot of influence over him in the decades theyve been together, though he still maintains the last word in any situation, as she is his underling (but ultimately answers to the Baron in the end).
Loyalty to those closest: He has no one close but Birdie, and would sell out any and all of his acquaintances, as hes lived long enough to see so many people wither and die that those he meets mean nothing to him any more. Not that he cant have passing affections, but none so far that hes met have really sparked any lengthy interest within him. He would have a harder time letting Birdie go, simply because hes known her for so long, and they are occasionally sexually active (but once a persons seen her true form, one cant quite look at her in the same way ever again), but he would choose his existence over hers if push came to shove.
Mental:
Moral standards: Severely lacking, nonexistent. He does what he wishes, and what will keep him from getting caught.
Relative intelligence: Pasquale is extremely clever. His mind is a slithering, writhing machine of semi-Machiavellian levels, as Birdie has taught him well.
Temper: Somewhat even. His boredom often determines how quickly he gets angry, and some things which would normally anger others amuse him, because he likes to play with humanity now in general.
Religious inclinations: Practices the black/dark side of Voodou.
Fears: Angering Baron Samedi so that hes brought to his grave before his bill has been paid, or that getting his wife back is going to be extremely anti-climactic, and not worth the effort and wait. Should he somehow not be able to pay his bill, Pasquale will be turned into one of the Barons shuffling zombie slaves, bound to Samedi until Judgment Day, forever rotting but his consciousness still intact.
Goals: Paying Baron Samedi and getting his mortality back, as well as his wife.
Personality:
Overall outlook on life: There are a lot of contradictions to the way Pasquale thinks in regards to life. He spends a lot of it bored, in a rut, seeking out small pleasures to pass the time. Since he feels so drab, he often wishes for his term of temporary immortality to be over, but at the same time, is terrified of going back to a life where he knows he will grow old, withering away due to the passing of time. He is a man afraid to move on, but afraid of staying still.
Type/level of humor: If he displays any humor whatsoever, it is of a dark, extremely dry form. It is often linked to someone else's discomfort.
Emotional availability: Pasquale has so many walls built up around his heart that even he has a hard time accessing his emotions.
Sensitivity/Empathy toward others: He's really got nothing left within him that would allow him to feel empathy to anyone else.
