Affiliation: Vox Angelus
Physical:
Age: 29
Height: 59
Eye color: blue-grey
Hair color: blonde bordering on ginger, darker goatee
Scars/tattoos/piercings: nothing worth noting; Edmund is phobic of needles
Body type in general: very average, no real muscle tone.
Wears: T-shirts, some funny, some band related, others just strange. Often wears a second button-up shirt over the tees. Jeans, sneakers, sandals with socks, nothing that tends to match much.
Generic:
Species/Specialty: Human. Has a photographic memory. Is a genius.
Theme Song: Im Yours by Jason Mraz.
Actions:
Occupation: Works for PIRA as lore-keeper and paranormal researcher. The man to come to if you need information on ancient spells or languages, on how to be rid of or call up demons, ghosts, fae, etc. Owns a vast library of occult, forbidden, blasphemous, and holy texts. Is PIRAs top interpreter, having become fluent in six ancient languages (Egyptian, Assyrian, Greek, Latin, Sanskrit, Aramaic), two near-modern languages (Old and Middle English), and four modern languages including his native tongue (French, Gaelic, German, Spanish).
Keeps busy with: research, whether private or for PIRA. Also plays tabletop RPGs, strategy board games, and anything on Playstation.
Becomes bored by: sports, most television, outdoor pursuits, car talk, shopping
Addicted to/obsessed with: Learning, books, Battlestar Galactica (old and new), Doctor Who (old and new), folklore and superstitions, archaeology, toe socks, reliquaries, amulets and charms, Chex Mix, Charlize Theron
Eats and drinks: diet sodas, some junk food, broccoli, fish and chips, Mexican food, curries, hot tea
Habits: Sometimes forgets to eat when hes doing research. Often falls asleep in his clothes. Strokes his goatee while thinking, which makes an annoying skritching noise. Doesnt like to get out of his desk chair, so hell wheel almost anywhereeven down the hall to the bathroom.
Listens to: The Unicorns, Susan Vega, Monty Python Sings, The Strokes, Mediaeval Baebes, Bond, Chopin, Stravinsky, Elgar, 12 Girls Band, They Might Be Giants, Weird Al, Cyndi Lauper, Devo, Belle and Sebastian, Conjure One
Relationships:
Family then and now: Comes from a very large family. Many close aunts and uncles, both parents still living, six sisters, three of whom are older than he, three of whom are younger. All are very intelligent people, though Edmund and his older sister Edith are the only truly certified geniuses of them all. His family lives in parts of England and Scotland, with one aunt and uncle residing in Montreal, Canada.
Best friends: a few gamers and geeks outside of PIRA. Tries to be friends with Desmond, though he finds it difficult. Quite likes Aiden, for both of them are, for the most part, of a positive disposition.
Enemies: Hes not particularly aware of any.
Crushes/love interests: Any carbon-based female form. In all seriousness, he develops crushes quickly on many females. Hes definitely got an intense crush on Rose which he makes obvious without intending to. Edmund actually thinks that most of the time, hes hiding his feelings from her, which makes Rose feel a little uncomfortable around him, but hes entirely oblivious to the fact.
Most influential person: He likes to think its Einstein, but in truth, his mother and sisters molded his present personality to a large extent.
Loyalty to those closest: Absolutely and fully. Edmund loves to give and take little in return. He can and will put others far ahead of himself, which makes him an easy man to take advantage of.
Mental:
Moral standards: Normal, ranging toward attempted chivalry, where his frustrated libido will allow. Isnt above putting salt in someones coffee if he thinks they deserve it, or supergluing a nemesis shoe to the floor, etc.
Relative intelligence: Extremely highgenius level.
Temper: Usually good at keeping his anger in, but can be worked up if the right buttons are pushed. Is often too optimistic and cheerful to become angry, however. Has the potential to go into an insane, plate-flinging, hair-tearing rage, but has not done so in many years. Repeatedly calling him by shortened versions of his name will tick him off quickly.
Religious inclinations: Has seen too much not to believe in pretty much all religions. Very much a non-practicing polytheist.
Fears: Needles, having to communicate with the opposite sex for lengthy periods, becoming senile.
Goals: To learn as many languages as he possibly can, to get a girlfriend, and to write a successful book on the paranormal.
Personality:
Overall outlook on life: Extremely sunny. Sees even bad times often through rose-colored glasses. Is hard to depress or worry, sometimes to his detriment.
Type/level of humor: goofy, somewhat reliant on Python, heavy on wordplay and puns. A bit cheesy.
Emotional availability: Edmund wears his heart on his sleeve.
Sensitivity/Empathy toward others: He tries, but can be a bit obtuse when it comes to reading others, not that he doesnt mean well.
Personality highlights: Although he is extremely knowledgeable about many things, hes never a know-it-all. Hes generous, friendly, accommodating, and isnt afraid to look silly while having fun. Hell give anything a go at least once. Hes lighthearted and easy to please.
Personality low points: He can be gullible, too bookish for his own good, unable to take hints, socially awkward, a bit too loud at times, willing to let others make decisions for him, outstays his welcomes, drones on endlessly about subjects hes interested in.
That which could be either of the two previous: Has no real capacity to lie. He hasnt got the guile or the face for it.
Quirks: Has a movie quote for most situations, strokes his goatee when thinking, rocks a little as he reads, cant sit still when music is playing.
Past:
Previous jobs: librarian, archivist
Grew up where: London
Level of schooling: Beyond college and still learning. Oxford and Brighton officially.
How they became (occupation) and/or (specialty): PIRA hand-picked him from a short list of scholars around the world.
Other Important Information:
His voice is lower than one would expect from him. He also has near-perfect teeth never matches his socks. Somewhere along his family tree, hundreds of years ago, Edmund is descended from ancient British heroes and knights, but this knowledge has been lost along the way. Their blood still lurks in him, hidden deep, deep away and dormant. Also, good lord, dont let the boy try to dance. Its painful to watch. Always call him Edmund, never Ed, Eddie, Ted, anything of the sort. Its always Edmund.

The bit about relationships brings the quote ""The only woman I've ever cared about who isn't computer generated or a fictional FBI agent...."from 'Spaced' to mind.

Dude, I STILL have to watch that. Steve has it, but I haven't poked through it yet.
And YES! You picked up immediately some hints of his heritage, more or less.
