The Grey Lady by NibbleKat The Grey Lady by NibbleKat
**IF YOU FAVE, PLEASE COMMENT!!**

Inspired by an NPC in a roleplay that died out at the beginning of 2013, this is a Grey Lady (much more frightening than the RP character). Grey Ladies are frightening ghosts who wander the halls of manor homes and castles in England. Some are benign, some are quite violent.

Her little critter there came about because of the two little natural knotholes in the wood that just -had- to become eyeballs.

Very interesting-almost feels a bit Clive Barker-y...I really like the way you added the olivine ribbon and the little bit of purple in the dusty gray-blue...

I don't think I've ever read any Clive Barker-- is he any good?

Well, naturally, likes and dislikes with regard to art/writing is subjective. I do think he is a good writer, and I've enjoyed the few short stories I read of his in the past.
I also quite like much of the style of his artwork. However, he has had a very difficult past, and this translates into his art's themes, which I find too difficult to enjoy. Not in the sense that suffering can't be an aspect of every life, but I discovered long ago, that I needed to move away from that kind of art(I used to create rather dark, gory work) as it makes nothing positive in another's life grow, including my own.
But hey, try some of his short story work, and then you can decide if his work suits you to move up to a full novel....

Oooh, yeah, I'm trying to come up OUT of a dark place, lol... so maybe not so much him right now.  That's really, really good to know, though, because... well.  Yeah.  I'm getting into the sun, not out of it right now.

Love the whole feeling of this. Love the touches of red, the wild ribbons the teeth and the "motion" that this piece conveys.
