It's been some time since I visited your gallery Nibs...That said, I am blown away by how far you've come with your technique-absolutely wonderful! Can you indulge me with the size and media used?

Yeah, and there's some news-- I'm now writing again, like I think I should have been all my life... I used to, and, well... I've been wasting my years not doing it.  So, I'm working on a book now. :)

But as to your question!  This one is about as tall as my knee, and it's watered-down acrylics.  If you are interested in wood panels that are inexpensive, go to www.cheapjoes.com and search for 'cradled panels.'  They're ready to hang and are great for painting on.

Thank you for ALL of your compliments! I really appreciate it.

looong time ago that I've been here, but still fantastic. Love that flamy hair in front of the dark sky.
Also a nice pose and great wrinkling. Did you have a model?
Best regards!

HEY YOU.  How are you doing? I hope you're well! I've missed talking to you.

I looked at a few paintings of saints for the fabric-- it's still a bit unrealistic, but that's kind of what I was going for, since old icons aren't typically realistic, anyway.

Oh goodness! Reminds me a little bit of illuminated manuscripts. Love it, as always.

It's something about the folds of her dress and her posture, I think. And the colors. It's really lovely!
