A painting that sprang from a friend's image of the goddess Al-lat; he envisions this pre-Islamic goddess as striding across the dunes at night, her hooded garment sweeping back behind her. This came directly from a doodle, so I'm not so confident about it.

Al-lat is mentioned in the Qur'an, and is the source of the Islamic symbol of the crescent moon and star. She was one of the primary deities worshiped in pre-Islamic Arabia.

Very nice piece. My grandfather was an antiques collector seller in addition to being a painter and singer of light Opera decades and decades ago n(look for Wally Olsen at --> [link]). He used to find old window frames, smaller ones were preferred, and paint special scenes or details on them and mount one of his canvas paintings behind/in the frame. Some of your work reminds me of what he liked to do with his art and found materials.
